We can do it all, it’s only a matter of priorities. It’s very simple to lose your way among all of these expectations. Learning about yourself and knowing who you are will be most helpful when it comes to establishing your priority list. Now, I’d like to spend some time talking about femininity, and ways of expressing your inner beauty through your appearance – the way a woman takes care of herself says a lot about her qualities.
1. Skin care
First of all, I have to say that it’s completely untrue that you need a lot of money to have perfect skin. As a matter of fact, many girls I know simply buy the most generic skin care products that are branded, believing that they have done their jobs. Most of those products are quite harsh, and it’s not at all uncommon that your skin reacts negatively, which only leads to additional problems. Start by determining your skin type and select products accordingly based on your results. For example, if you have serious problems with acne, you shouldn’t try to solve them by yourself – having a good dermatologist is your solution here. The whole process will be a lot shorter and the results will be a lot better, so don’t hesitate; consult a professional.
2. Hair Care
A certain haircut and a particular hair color are just two ways to express your personality. Naturally, not all hairstyles and colors are a perfect match and you should make your selection based on the shape of your face. However, it’s not like you shouldn’t have any fun – being in your twenties has a lot of perks, and experimenting with your appearance is one of them. Besides, having crazy haircuts in wild colors is not at all uncommon today, so you won’t run into too many frowns in the business world if you decide to dye your hair green, for example. Similar to what I mentioned above in the skincare section, hair care also doesn’t have to be expensive – you just have to be smart about it. For example, getting a dye that’s a bit more expensive and of a higher quality will help you save a lot of money on hair repair products because there will be no need for it. You should find a hair routine that works for you and stick to it.
3. Hand Care
A woman’s hands are a reflection of her femininity. As far as I’m concerned – you should take a good look at the women around you and see if I’m right. Somehow, women don’t pay a lot of attention to their hands, although this may be the simplest task in the beauty checklist. Hands can look beautiful even if you don’t have those perfect long, thin fingers – shaping your nails properly will do the trick. There’s another reason why women simply give up on their hands; because they don’t believe that they have the skills necessary to get their own nails done, or don’t have enough money to pay someone else to do it for them. With just a little bit of practice, you’ll manage to master these skills and do it much sooner than you expect – it’s not rocket science, really, you just need to be patient.
4. Body Care
Although there has been a lot of healthy body image talk online recently, a majority of girls are still convinced that they need to be skinny in order to be beautiful. Being skinny implies improper nutrition, and if you don’t eat healthy, you can’t possibly expect your body to feel healthy. First of all, you need to start by embracing your figure – not everyone is born with that supermodel body line, and that’s completely OK. Once you make peace with that beautiful figure you have, you can set realistic goals and achieve them in time. The fact that your body isn’t within the standards that society is forcing on you doesn’t imply that you should give up on exercising, and there are two good reasons for this:
Being an important health factor, exercising is great for preventing various diseases and it will help you fight certain health problems. It truly is an amazing confidence booster; working out will do miracles for your social and love life because it brings a level of personal satisfaction to your game.
Additionally, your choice of clothes needs to be in accordance with your figure. After determining your body type, you’ll be able to select flattering clothes that you’ll enjoy wearing because they look good and make you feel amazing about yourself – another confidence boost.
5. Find a Style of Clothing That Will Suit You
Once you have accepted yourself and determined what your body type is, it is time to find a style of clothing that will suit you and your figure. This isn’t very hard, the first thing you need to do is to take a closer look at your lifestyle and your personality. Are you casual and outdoorsy, or someone just waiting for a chance to wear an evening gown? Some people like a more professional business look. It is important to find a style of clothing that will fit into your lifestyle and complement you. Otherwise, you will only feel uncomfortable, and that will reflect on everything you do. Also, always have in mind; the shape of your body, because while leggings are trendy, they only look good on girls with long and thin legs. Make sure you choose the colors that will highlight your natural beauty. For example, if lime green is the “in color” right now, and you look pale and washed out when wearing it, try to find a shade of green that will make you look good, and save that lime color for a pair of shoes or a handbag.
6. Do The Right Type of Exercise
Like we mentioned above, exercising is not only an important factor for your overall health, it’s also an amazing confidence booster. However, if you are someone who hasn’t done a lot of exercising in the past, getting in shape can be overwhelming and it’s hard to even get started. Most girls who are looking for the perfect workout plan try one solution after another and end up thinking that nothing really works for them. You can easily get stuck in the extremes such as: eating nothing after 6pm., or committing yourself to exercising and eating well, where in the end you become obsessed with it and actually make yourself feel worse, both emotionally and physically. You need to find the right balance, a workout that will fit into your everyday life and leave you feeling satisfied. It would be best if you found a trainer who would have answers to all of your questions, and help you create a workout plan that will suit you and your specific needs. This is all within the borders of basic care, and none of the tips I mentioned are difficult to achieve. I believe that being a woman is something you learn in time, and things like that shouldn’t be forced. Don’t get frustrated; give yourself enough time so that you can discover who you really are, and how you can manifest your personality through your appearance.
