If you’re considering switching jobs, there are few ways to get better motivated than taking tips from the hearts and minds of professionals. Around the world, employees are generally happy with their jobs; with 27% claiming they are very satisfied and only 4% at the other end of the spectrum. However, this doesn’t mean they won’t consider a career change. A quarter of those surveyed said they were actively looking for a different job, and even the 45% who were not considering a change admitted they were open to speaking to recruiters. Only 15% were completely satisfied with their role and did not intend to move. The top motivators professionals need to accept a new job role have surprisingly little to do with their titles or location. Instead, employees look for improved benefits and compensation, a good work/ life balance and opportunities. There are also differences based on generation: millennials are most interested in compensation and less in work/ life balance. Employees over 40 however care less about money and more about their quality of life. What more motivation do you need to change jobs if you’re unhappy?
